Press Release: Privacy+ Certification Extends into India

First PRISM International Privacy+ Certification in India is Awarded to Ninestars Information Technologies.
Phoenix, Ariz., February 12, 2019 – PRISM International is proud to announce Ninestars Information Technologies has been awarded Privacy+ Certification™, making it the first India-based firm to do so.
Privacy+ is the international certification program overseen by PRISM International. It allows records and information management companies to demonstrate their commitment to ensuring the privacy of information by submitting to review and audits. Obtaining certification is voluntary for companies that handle physical storage, hard-copy records, and offline removable computer media.
Commenting on this accomplishment, i-SIGMA CEO Bob Johnson said, “Ninestars recognizes that consumers benefit by the third-party validation of service provider compliance. Under the current climate for data protection, customers’ liability is too great to be validating vendor qualifications without rigorous, credible, third-party verification.”

This announcement follows on the heels of the first Privacy+ Certification in Saudi Arabia last August.
