NSW Privacy Commissioner to Open Australia Seminar
July 13, 2022
The association is proud to announce that Samantha Gavel, the Privacy Commissioner of New South Wales, will open the upcoming “Data Disposition Deep Dive” conference in Australia on 25 August, where she will address the importance of the data controller-data processor relationship, as well as the future of privacy regulations and enforcement in Australia.
According to i-SIGMA Director Renee Pryor of Shred-X, Ms. Gavel’s appearance fits in perfectly with the event’s strategy. “We set out to hold an event that would not only attract i-SIGMA members, but also the clients who rely on our services,” said Pryor. “It is refreshing to see that the commissioner sees the critical value of the relationship between the two.”
i-SIGMA members throughout the region are encouraged to register before the event sells out.
“With limited seating, marketing directly to clients, and the addition of the commissioner, there is a risk of running out of room,” said Kelly Martinez, CSDS, i-SIGMA’s Director of Marketing and Communications.”
“The event also marks the final appearance of retiring NAID founder Bob Johnson, CSDS” added Martinez. “We’re guessing more than a few of his longtime industry colleagues will show up to see him off.”
“Data Disposition Deep Dive” will be held 25 August at the Sydney Harbour Marriott at Circular Quay. Register Now >>
