New i-SIGMA Board Meets for the First Time

When i-SIGMA President Pat DeVries brought the first meeting of the newly elected i-SIGMA Board of Directors to order on the 13th of May at 3:00 p.m. EDT, it marked the beginning of a new phase in the association’s development.
NAID and PRISM International merged in June 2018, at which time the respective boards of each association formed an Interim Board, largely focusing on integration and assimilation issues.
“Over the initial two years, the Interim Board did exactly what they were supposed to,” said DeVries. “They took two associations, each with unique cultures and separate committees and certification programs and set the foundation for a single trade association stronger than either had been before.”
During the one-hour call, DeVries expressed his intention to build on the strong foundation the board inherited, citing certification, growth, and customer awareness as the focus of forthcoming strategic planning.
