i-SIGMA CEO to address inaugural NAID-Japan Event

NAID founder and i-SIGMA CEO Bob Johnson will speak in Tokyo on November 20 at a one-day event marking the first conference of NAID-Japan. The event is expected to draw over 100 industry professionals, most of whom represent members.

According to Johnson, the association chapter has been gaining steam due to growing attention on data security in the country.

“NAID-Japan has approximately 35 members,” says Johnson, “But this only reflects the tip of the iceberg. The surge of recent interest caused by new laws in Japan as well as the GDPR has many service providers there wanting to up their game.”

NAID-Japan was formally created as a stand-alone chapter in 2016 and operates under an agreement to abide by the global association’s bylaws and certification standards.
