Certificate Awarded for NAID AAA Certification Gets Facelift

Starting next month, members achieving or renewing NAID AAA Certification will be issued the new certificate designed to give customers a better explanation of the program’s role and importance in regulatory compliance.

“While the traditional certificate issued to NAID AAA Certified service providers was suitable for display, it did little in the way of explaining the program’s relevance as a regulatory failsafe,” said NAID CEO Bob Johnson. “Largely prompted by members, the new certificate is not only suitable for framing, it describes in some detail, the regulations with which it is aligned, and its relevance in establishing clients’ due diligence requirements.”

Effective July 1, 2018, all new and renewing NAID AAA Certified locations will be issued the new document on a go-forward basis.

“It was impractical to resupply all NAID Certified locations with the new certificate,” said Johnson.  “The majority of NAID Certified locations will be up for renewal in a matter of months.”
