While running a business, a variety of questions are bound
to arise. Do you ever wish you just had someone you could easily reach out to for an answer? That’s part of the benefit of belonging to your industry’s trade association! PRISM International has provided several resources above those that can be accessed anytime in the Document Library of the Members Only Portal to assist members with their businesses. Here are additional resources for the circumstances that require a personal touch.

Subject Matter Expert

The hiring of a RIM Subject Matter Expert (SME) to specifically advise and represent members of the PRISM International division was one of the big initial “wins” of last year’s merger. The association now has on staff Gail Bisbee in this capacity to provide in-house expertise to members. Bisbee is a well-known and highly-regarded figure in the industry as the former CEO of North Carolina-based Confidential Records Management, Inc and past member of the PRISM International Board of Directors as well as her numerous appearances speaking at association events over the years. Ask a Professional Program

If you have a question related to the operation of your
PRISM-member business, the Ask a Professional Program may be the ideal solution.
For instance, if you have a tax question unique to records information
management, or a legal issue related to customers, employees, and/or contracts,
this might be outside the box of “normal” assistance, but no less of a business
need on your end. Anything industry-related to regulatory, safety, and
operational questions are suitable for submission to the Ask a Professional
Program. Please submit any questions to [email protected] with
“Ask the Professional” as the subject line.

If deemed appropriate PRISM International will seek out a
qualified professional to answer the question on your behalf. The association
will send you a response and will post the Q&A for the other members to
benefit, keeping the originator’s information confidential. One question may
well be worth more than the price of annual membership!

with you over time through a variety of operational and regulatory issues. The association offers a list of qualified consultants as well as professionals and suppliers to help meet various business needs in the Online Market.
