Press Release: NAID 2018-2019 Board of Directors Installed

Phoenix, Ariz., April 14, 2018 – The NAID 2018 Conference and Expo held last week in Nashville is where the National Association for Information Destruction®(NAID®) conducted its annual business meeting and installed the incoming board members.
Angie Singer Keating, CISA, CISM, CIPP, CISCO of Pennsylvania-based Reclamere, Inc. was installed as the NAID President.
Patrick DeVries, CSDS of Washington-based DeVries Business Services was installed as the association’s President-elect, subsequent to his nomination and the election preceding the conference. Currently the bylaws state that after a one-year term as President-elect, DeVries, will automatically advance to the NAID presidency.
The NAID 2017-2018 President, Eric Haas of A.R.M.S. Inc. transitioned to the role of Past-President. As an Executive Committee member, he will continue to offer counsel to the Board after his years of service with the organization.
Don Gerard Jr., CSDS of Land Shark Shredding, LLC was installed as the association’s Secretary for a two-year term following his nomination and election.
During a meeting that followed NAID 2018, the NAID Board of Directors approved an appointment to fill a vacancy created by the election results.
2017-2018 Secretary, Brock Miller, CSDS of Oregon-based Shred Northwest was appointed to the office of Treasurer, which was vacated by DeVries being elected to President-elect.
Also elected to the Board are the following new directors who will each serve a three-year term: NAID-Europe Director and Chair, Stefan Chorus of Streff – Data Protections Services (PSF) s.à.r.l out of Luxembourg; NAID-Canada Director and Chair, Tino Fluckiger of ShredWise out of Britsh Columbia; NAID-ANZ Director and Chair, Renee Pryor of Shred-X Secure Destruction out of Queensland; Max-Paying Dues Director, Russ Bryden of Stericycle Inc. based in Illinois; and Director Brian Connelly of All Points Mobile Shredding out of Florida.
