i-SIGMA Hires PRISM Subject Matter Expert/Ensures NAID’s Focus on Data Destruction

With NAID and PRISM International now under roof, some NAID members may have initially worried that the marriage would spread the association’s in-house expertise a little too thin. “The Board of Directors was quite strategic in looking out for both NAID and PRISM International members in this regard,” said Kelly Martínez, i-SIGMA Director of Marketing and Communications.
“By bringing on Gail Bisbee, with her amazing depth of knowledge in the records management field, we have assured our members that there is a point-person looking after PRISM and one still looking after NAID with long-time subject matter expert, CEO Bob Johnson.” Martínez continued, “NAID will not lose its focus on data destruction.”
The move also means PRISM International members will have someone concentrating on records and information management issues. Something co-President Christopher Jones says has been missing.
“The combined resources of the new organization allowed us to add the type of in-house expertise we [PRISM] sorely needed. That was the commitment we made to our members when we proposed the merger, and I am happy to say we have delivered beyond our expectations,” said Jones.
Bisbee will assume her new responsibilities in the coming weeks. For i-SIGMA members involved in records management services, it means a new, heightened level of service. For members that are in the secure destruction industry, it means the association will remain keyed in on the issues important to their success as well.
