Board-approved Bylaws Change to Streamline Membership
November 18, 2020
Earlier this month, the i-SIGMA Board of Directors approved changes to the association’s bylaws in an effort to remove confusion and streamline membership.
If ratified by the membership this spring, the amended bylaws eliminate the PRISM and NAID operational division structure, and the incompatible dual membership dues structure it creates.
According to i-SIGMA CEO Bob Johnson, the amended bylaws do not affect NAID AAA Certification or PRISM Privacy+ Certification.
“Both of i-SIGMA’s flagship certifications will continue with the same brand names and same operations,” said Johnson. “Clients have grown to rely on these brands, and they are now included in thousands of contracts, RFP’s, and vendor requirements, it is important to continue their use and protect them.”
As with all such amendments, the association’s members have the final say in their approval. This spring, the board will formally recommend member-ratification of the amendment in the ballot also used to elect member representatives to vacant board seats.
