NAID 2017 Conference Committee meets

The NAID 2017 Conference Committee held its first official meeting yesterday (June 29, 2016). NAID 2017 Conference Chair Angela Colecchi of Akron, OH-based Neoshred outlined the committee’s schedule and planning milestones as well as her expectations that the event would build on the success of the most recent events.

“In recent years, the annual NAID conference has come to represent the resilience and professionalism of the secure destruction industry,” Colecchi told NAIDDirect. “We have a responsibility to uphold that tradition and I am sure we will.”

For now, the committee will be developing the events thematic elements, securing a keynote speaker and developing a list prospective educational sessions. Colecchi reminded her colleagues that the final litmus test for session selection will be the extent to which the address recognized emerging challenges members are confronting in the marketplace.

“NAID 2017 has the opportunity to embrace the more stable industry where vendor qualifications continue to become strong differentiators,” said NAID CEO Bob Johnson. “We are finally seeing this industry come of age and the annual conference has to recognize that reality.”

NAID 2017 will be held March 22-24 at the Tropicana Resort in Las Vegas. Registration will open October 3, 2016.
