She argued before the US Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit, drafted a writ of certiorari to the US Supreme Court, and represented Fortune 500 companies in multi-million dollar lawsuits. She has extensive experience in arbitration and mediation. Dawn demonstrated a strong personal commitment to pro bono work, for which she was one of two out of 1,000 associates firm-wide to receive an award for “Outstanding Achievement and Commitment to Pro Bono Service in the Community.” Her most fulfilling pro bono accomplishment was winning asylum for an Albanian woman who was sex-trafficked from Albania to Italy where she was raped, beaten, and starved before escaping to Chicago. She argued before the US Immigration Court in this highly publicized case that took place over a two year period and was written up twice in the Chicago Sun Times.
(2) Academic Background – Dawn graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Florida. As a scholarship student, she earned her juris doctorate from Chicago-Kent College of Law. She clerked for the Honorable Blanche M. Manning of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Florida.
(3) Coaching Credentials – Dawn is a Founding Partner of the John Maxwell Team. She offers retreats, seminars, keynote speaking, and executive coaching for those wanting results.

John Montaña is an attorney and CEO of Montaña & Associates, a records and information management consulting firm based in Englewood, Colorado. In this capacity, he advises corporations, law firms, and non-profit organizations on records and information management. His work has included analysis and advice on a wide variety of records and information management issues, including records retention scheduling, advice on the legality of various information storage media, regulatory compliance, litigation and discovery, and other matters likely to impact information management considerations; as well as analysis, critique and modification of practices, policies and procedures, and retention schedules developed by others and start-to-finish development of records retention schedules, records management policies and procedures.
