David Surdyk, CSDS

David Surdyk, CSDS is Director-Commodities Trading for Mid America Paper.  He is proud to be a fourth generation family member of the recycling business his great-grandfather founded in 1926.  Mid America is one of the largest privately held brokers, processors, and exporters of recycled fiber in the United States.  Surdyk is also Vice President of sister company Document Destruction, a local Chicago onsite and offsite shredding company.  Surdyk has served as Chair of NAID’s Global Fiber and Communication & Marketing Committees, served on the original CSDS Board of Regents, and was the recipient of NAID’s Member of the Year award in 2012.
