Dr. Ross Federgreen drives innovation as CEO and founder at CSR Privacy Solutions, Inc. His 36 years of experience include regulatory compliance as well as data life cycle management and security of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) for multi-national corporations including the Fortune 50, financial institutions, non-profit organizations and governmental agencies. CSR has established itself as the preeminent international provider of SaaS based compliance products in the SMB Privacy space through over 100 global resellers. Federgreen is also the inventor and patent-holder of the CSR Breach Reporting Service™ Toolkit (US Patent # 8626671). In addition, CSR is certified through the US European Union Privacy Shield and is enabled to provide audit services under same.
He has served on the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) Publications Advisory committee as well as the Electronic Transactions Association’s (ETA) Data Security Task Force. He currently is involved with many aspects of the European Privacy Association and the European Union.
Recipient of many awards, such as the Hewlett-Packard-IAPP Privacy Innovation Award, whose previous winners include Microsoft, IBM, Sprint, Dr. Federgreen also lectures widely, giving keynotes to various industry organizations. Most recently in October 2016 he gave the key note address on the GDPR at an International meeting in Prague as well as a presentation in May 2017 in Luxemburg on GDPR opportunities and challenges sponsored by the European Union. Further he participated in the Brussels IAPP/ EU meetings in November 2017. In addition, he has given key note presentations at PRISM 2018 and several meetings in Europe on Data Subject Access Rights during 2018. He is scheduled to give a major address at I-SIGMA in spring 2019.
Federgreen received his Doctorate from Yale University. He holds the internationally recognized Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), Certified Information Privacy Professional United States (CIPP/US), Canada (CIPP/C), Government (CIPP/G) and Europe (CIPP/E) designations. Additionally, Federgreen is a European Privacy Association Fellow, an IAPP Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) and a Designated Privacy Officer (DPO) under the rules of the GDPR.
